There’s a quiet voice most of us learn to ignore.
It’s the pause before a decision. The feeling that something is slightly off. The sense that you need more time, even when everything looks fine on the surface.
For a long time, I thought intuition was something separate from logic. But the older I get, the more I realize it’s often the result of experience, observation, and self-trust coming together. Your gut doesn’t usually shout. It nudges.
I’ve learned to respect that nudge in my own life and in real estate. This year, the goal is to slow down when something doesn’t feel settled. To ask myself why. To question when it feels right to. Sometimes the answer is practical. Sometimes it’s emotional. Sometimes it’s simply that I’m not ready yet.
What I’ve noticed is that the moments we override that feeling are often the ones we revisit later, asking ourselves why we didn’t listen the first time. Not with regret necessarily, but with curiosity. That small voice tends to be patient. It waits for us to come back to it.
We live in a world that rewards speed and certainty. Decisiveness is praised. Hesitation is often mistaken for weakness. But some of the strongest choices I’ve made came from pausing instead of pushing forward, from giving myself permission to sit in the uncertainty just a little longer.
Trusting your gut doesn’t mean ignoring the facts. It means letting your head and your heart have the same conversation. And when they finally align, there’s a quiet confidence that follows. The kind that doesn’t need validation. The kind that simply feels right.
Wishing you all the right things in 2026!
